Merry Christmas!
What a great Christmas! The family visited with my sis-in-law, Kathy, on Christmas Eve, after church services. Her son-in-law, Matt, fixed a great dinner. For those who don't know, my big brother, Mike, passed away in September. He is greatly missed this holiday season.
Just wanted to share my photo of BEARS! Each bear Kathy stitched from sweatshirts that my brother once wore. What a joyous and beautiful gift! Thank you Kathy! They are adorable. THIS is what Christmas is all about, remembering those who are no longer with us and all the love and joy they brought to our lives.

I loved reading both of your posts. Christmas is indeed a special time-–celebrating with family and remembering good times with those who are no longer with us. I'm also looking forward to reading more of your Log Cabin Journal. I remember how much I enjoyed seeing your home when I visited with Barb Whittington. Wishing you and yours a blessed New Year.

ReplyDeleteYes, Barb. The vacant parts in our hearts where loved ones have passed on is always there. Brings a sadness to the holidays. Love you. Sherry
